So, you’ve landed on the Silencio App. You’ve probably figured out how to sign up, chosen a unique username (even though every cool one was already taken), and selected an avatar that definitely doesn’t look like you. But what now?

Whether you’re here to improve the world or to maximize your share of the BETA airdrop, both are great reasons to dive into the Silencio Network! Follow these 5 simple steps, and soon enough, you’ll be a true Silencian. (If you don’t know what a Silencian is, this is your ‘must-read.’)

Tip 1: Get Familiar with the Interface

We might be a little biased, but Silencio’s new UI is so slick that we’d argue it’s the simplest thing in the world. (Okay, maybe *after* breathing.)

The Silencio App has Three Major Sections:

1. Profile

You’ll find your profile at the bottom of the page. This is your personal HQ for all things Silencio! Want to change that avatar? Share the app with friends? Or, perhaps, check your expected BETA airdrop share? It’s all here.

• Measure: Select “Measure” to contribute datasets to the network by clicking the “+” icon at the bottom. It’s your gateway to conducting your first measurement and getting rewarded.
• Explore: Select “Explore” to browse datasets shared by the community. Need to know if that new apartment in New York is as peaceful as advertised? Or maybe you’re wondering if a cozy café is just around the corner. Use “Explore” to find out!

PRO TIP: Consistency is key! By making just one contribution to the network daily, you can multiply your rewards up to 250%. (Yes, that’s a real thing!)

3. Network, Shop, News & More

Accessed via the bottom-left icons, here’s where you keep up with community accomplishments, exchange Noise Coins for cool gadgets, and catch up on the latest updates. It’s split into three parts:

• Network: Live updates on community accomplishments like hours measured and active sensors.
• Shop: Exchange your hard-earned Noise Coins for discounts, gadgets, and health products.
• News: Read articles, tips, and updates from Silencio. Oh, and did we mention… news? Groundbreaking, we know.

Pro Tip: Follow Silencio on social media through the app to earn rewards. Easy wins!

Tip 3: Look out for Streaks!

Regardless of whether you’re here to maximize your airdrop or make the world a better place, let’s be real — getting more rewards is always a win! Seeing some Silencians with way more Noise Coins can be a little intimidating, but don’t stress — you’re just getting started.

As we mentioned earlier, Silencio rewards you for consistency with streaks. Every consecutive day you contribute, your streak multiplier increases. It starts at 2.5% and grows daily, maxing out at 250%..

Here’s a simple example:
If you maintain a 40-day streak, you’ll hit a 100% multiplier! So, if your latest measurement earned you 10 Noise Coins, the streak will double that, and you’ll walk away with 20 Noise Coins.

Pro Tip: Make daily measurements or check-ins part of your routine for consistent rewards. Even a quick measurement or venue check-in during lunch can keep your streak going and grow your rewards!

Tip 4: Invite Friends!

Going on a journey is always easier with a friend. I mean, as they say, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together” — or, you know, “If you want to collect more Noise Coins, bring your whole crew!” Jokes aside, staying consistent is much easier when you know your friend is right there trying to climb the ranks with you. Healthy competition, right?

But it gets even better: inviting friends sets you up for success. For every friend you invite, both of you receive 200 Noise Coins. And the cherry on top? You’ll also earn 20% of everything they make through their measurements! Invite 100 friends, and you’ll hardly have to lift a finger to measure yourself. Talk about passive income!

Tip 5: Measure unexplored territory!

Now that you know how to navigate Silencio, where to get updates, how to maximize your multipliers, and — of course — how to lovingly *annoy* your friends, let’s dive into the final tip…

As you may or may not know, Silencio’s Map is divided into hexagons. The smallest of these (zoom all the way in!) cover 43.87 square meters or 143.93 square feet. Here’s the trick: if you measure in areas where other Silencians have already conducted measurements, you’ll earn less than if you’re the first one there! So, be strategic — plan your route to the supermarket by scouting the map for streets or paths that haven’t been measured.

As our friend Mr. Frost might say, “Take the road less traveled” — because it can seriously boost your earnings and leave the competition in the dust!
